Animal Exports
Key information about the export process
Animal Export
All export requests must be submitted at least 21 days before the requested shipment date. This does not guarantee that the shipment will be sent on the day requested. You will not be able to submit a request unless you complete all the required fields.
All export requests will be reviewed first by the ARC for protocol approval and compliance. Please review the policy for Acquiring and Housing Vertebrate Animals: Visit the Acquiring and Housing Vertebrate Animals policy.
All cages must have “Vet check for Transfer” tags on them before the vet inspection can be done. Mice in the DLAM Managed Breeding areas should supply a Transnetyx Cage ID for each cage to be shipped.
- eSirius Cage Card number(s) or Transnetyx Cage number(s) must be provided for each cage you wish to ship.
An export fee will be charged for each shipment. The fee for shipments can be found under “Service Description” on the Per Diem Rate Sheet.
- It is the sending Investigator/Lab's responsibility to recover any shipment expenses from the Destination Institutions, where indicated.
All communication should be sent to DLAM Animal Shipping at dlamasr@mednet.ucla.edu.
